TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified CVICU RN in Stockton, California, 95204 About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Job Specialty: SICU/CVICU - Cardiovascular Intensive Care Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-Hour Days, Every Other Weekend, First to Float Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 3 years License: Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS Must-Have: - Experience recovering fresh hearts directly from the OR within the past 6 months - Cerner experience - Completion of all required modules prior to arrival Job Description: - Unit consists of 10 beds with a patient ratio of 1 to 1 or 1 to 2 - Charge nurse available 24/7, typically without patient assignments - Support staff includes patient care support staff and unit clerks/secretaries - Weekend requirement: Every other weekend; frequency may increase based on unit needs - Holiday requirement: Work 2 out of 3 major winter holidays, others as needed - Dress code: Navy blue scrubs; scrub jackets and undershirts must be navy, white, or black - Telemetry: Phillips central monitors and hardwired monitors in each room - Ventilators: Draeger, Hamilton G5, and Galileo; transport vent is LVT - Intensivist in-house from 7 am to 5 pm, on-call afterwards - 24/7 respiratory therapy and pharmacy support available - Non self-scheduling unit; time-off requests must be made prior to the contract start - Floating possible to other ICUs or ER for inpatient ICU holds - Floor-specific orientation: 1 shift with a preceptor - Common diagnoses include TAVR, Impella, IABP, Lumbar drains, Swanz, STEMI, AAA, Hypothermia, sepsis, with a focus on CV & CT patients - High acuity, fast-paced environment requiring flexibility and adaptability - Assignment changes and floating can occur anytime during a shift 26152227EXPPLAT Job Requirements Required for Onboarding ACLS - AHA BLS - AHA Core Competency PALS - AHA Pharmacology Skills Checklist Specialty Exam About Cynet Health Your travel nursing adventure begins here.
