Key Responsibilities: Patient-Centered Care: Provide compassionate care to forensic, LPS, and medically fragile patients under general supervision. Collaborative Planning: Play an essential role in the planning and evaluation of nursing care, contributing to the overall treatment strategy. Behavioral and Psychiatric Support: Deliver general behavioral and psychiatric nursing care with professionalism and empathy. Rehabilitation Assistance: Aid in the rehabilitation process, helping forensic clients and patients work towards recovery and reintegration. What We're Looking For: We're seeking dedicated candidates with excellent organizational skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and outstanding communication skills. Experience with computer systems is desired, along with the ability to work well in a team, mediate conflicts, and demonstrate a genuine commitment to helping others. Flexibility is key, as you'll be expected to work in any Unit/Program and on any shift to meet the needs of our facility. Training and Development: If selected, you'll attend a comprehensive New Employee Orientation (NEO) that will equip you with the knowledge and skills needed to excel. NEO may last up to 30 days for clinical staff, ensuring you are fully prepared for your role. Minimum Qualifications: A valid license to practice as a Psychiatric Technician issued by the BVNPTE (Applicants within four months of completing the accredited Psychiatric Technician curriculum will be considered but must secure their license before appointment). Eligibility Requirements: To be considered, applicants must meet one of the following criteria: Permanent civil service status Be reachable on an employment list Have transfer eligibility Have reinstatement eligibility If you do not have eligibility, you must take the exam Why Choose DSH?
