We are looking to hire a skilled estimation professional to join our growing team, focusing on wet utility projects. Your role will involve producing--detailed proposals, cost estimates, and comprehensive takeoffs--for a variety of projects, including sewer, water, and storm drainage installations. You will collaborate closely with our operations team, project managers, and subcontractors to ensure all estimates are accurate and align with project goals.

Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
--- Prepare detailed cost estimates and takeoffs for sewer, water, and storm drain projects, along with dry utilities.
--- Collaborate with project managers, foremen, and field teams to ensure all project estimates are accurate and comprehensive.
--- Manage subcontractor pricing and ensure that all estimates reflect current market conditions.
--- Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and subcontractors to ensure all parties are aligned on project expectations.
--- Maintain a focus on safety, quality, and compliance with industry standards in all estimates.

Qualifications:
Experience:
--- Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction estimating, specifically with wet utilities (sewer, water, storm drains) and dry utilities (power, communication conduits, etc.).

Technical Skills:
--- Strong knowledge of estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, Procore, PlanSwift, or similar).
--- Proficient in creating detailed cost estimates, takeoffs, and bid proposals for wet and dry utilities.
--- Familiarity with reading and interpreting civil engineering plans, specifications, and blueprints for underground utility projects.

Communication & Collaboration:
--- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively liaise with clients, project managers, foremen, and subcontractors.
--- Strong ability to negotiate pricing with vendors and subcontractors.

Analytical & Critical Thinking:
--- Ability to evaluate job sites, project requirements, and potential risks to create accurate and comprehensive estimates.
--- Strong math skills with the ability to calculate materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.

Project Management Skills:
--- Proven time management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
--- Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all estimates and takeoffs.

Industry Knowledge:
--- Knowledge of industry standards, safety regulations, and compliance related to wet utilities (sewer, water, storm drain) and underground utility projects.
--- Familiarity with local codes and regulations governing utility installations and trenching operations.

Education:
--- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred, or equivalent work experience in estimating roles.

--- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with diverse teams.
--- Strong focus on ownership and accountability in delivering accurate estimates that align with project goals and timelines.
