  • Job Details
  • Periop (pre/post surgery) unit, both inpatient and outpatient
  • 16 beds
  • Common diagnoses include robotic and regular Lap chole, lap appy, colon resec, hernia, hysters, spine cases, total joints (hips, knees, shoulder), Cardiac Cath's, not much eye or ENT currently, no open cardiac
  • Will do outpatient blood transfusions and infusions in the PACU
    • Job Requirements
    • ACLS, BLS, PALS certifications required
    • Strong IV skills required
    • Charge Nurse experience preferred
      • Schedule Information
      • 12 hour shifts with staggered start times from 6am-10:30am
      • Weekend requirement: 1 weekend per month
      • On-call holidays
      • Will take one weekday of call as well as one weekend per month at minimum
        • Unit Specific Information
        • EMR: Cerner-surginet
        • Ratios: 1 to 1 fresh post op, 1 to 2 for next phase; preop 1 to 5; post recovery 1 to 4 (if holding)
        • Charge Nurse: Yes
        • Nurse Aides: No
        • RT: 24/7
        • Pharmacy: 24/7
        • Floating: Endoscopy and outpatient surgery center
        • Floor specific orientation: One week but varied based on experience
